I spotted the mileage (edit; in Km) on a friends Honda Hornet and thought I'd share it. The bike has had no failures and very low maintenance.

I have a friend with a F4i, original owner, and he's over 300k.  I think he had to replace one minor thing like a R/R or something, otherwise gas, oil, and tires.  He even does trackdays on it.

So the bikes can do it, can somebody share their secret of getting that much free time and enjoying the same machine for so long?

Exactly, try putting 300K on a euro bike without a complete teardown if you can even get past 100K.  Meanwhile the Japanese bike not only runs, but runs like it did at 30K

Honda Ignition Security System. If you try and steal the bike a Black Mamba is released from the seat.
