Trying to figure out how much life this tire has left in it.  This is a Michelin Pilot Road 3 rear tire.  The craters (or whatever they are called) nearest the center of the tread are .070 deep according to my dial indicator.

Does anyone know how deep they are on a new tire?  This tire has about 6000 miles on it and I need about 2500 miles out of it to make the trip to the WCRM and back. Pretty sure i'm safe but would like to know how much of the original tread has disappeared.

IME that tire has more than 2,500 miles left on it.  I get over 8,000 on the rear of my Busa.
