I hope sales of T shirts and leather belts are good.

I like the new smaller bike choices the motor company is offering.  U would think this market would help sell bikes.

Could the problem be cost?  Do people want to blow 25g on a motorcycle?

What do you think?

No one wants the new bikes. They are boring, and don't sound that good...and they just aren't as cool as a Sportster. Now they have dropped the best bike they ever built, the V-Rod. Why they never built a touring version, I will never understand!

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-07-18/harley-davidson-is-losing-its-cool

"On Tuesday morning, the company posted a quarterly update that was dismal all around. Perhaps most alarming, however, was a 17 percent drop in revenue from general merchandise, a sales slump that outpaced declines in dollars derived from bikes, parts, and financing. Souvenir sales were even worse in the first quarter when it recorded a 21 percent drop"

I'm not sure if T-s are merchandise or souvenirs.

To reach out to that market, some engine tuning is in order.  How hard would it be to get the Harley to go Avacado-Avacado instead of Potato-Potato ?  Headscratch

I think everything at HD is too expensive.

Too over hyped.

HD Sportster should not be a vibrater machine

It should have a smooth strong 1200cc engine

Its such an good looking bike.   Get a good engine combination to go with it.
