Bubba first mentioned this in the Borscht Burn thread, as someone else was wondering what might be happening for WCRM 2017.5.

Every years McRyder, who is also over on pnwmoto.com organizes a ride in September. This year it is in Baker City, Or. Post is here http://pnwmoto.com/tri-cities/baker-city-2017-a-3396/ Dates are September 8 through 10.

A deal has been made with the Oregon Trail Motel. Single room $40.25. A double $51.13. Taxes are included. Contact the motel at 541-523-5844 or 888-523-5882, and mention you are with Steve's Ride for the discount. Steve is cool with anyone from sport-touring.net West attending.

I went 2 years ago and had a blast. A good group of people, many of whom I have seen at past BBBBQ's and at the 2011 National Meet.

My bride and I do a big trip every September so I can't make this one. I'm sure everyone will enjoy it - Baker City is an interesting town, the Oregon Trail Motel is a trip and the roads nearby and to get there are great.

Been there a few times, the prime rib at the cafe on the weekends is to die for. Hwy 7 hells canyon Fr 39, and many others are good fun.

Alert!  I was at the Oregon Trail Motel this past weekend for the eclipse and they did not include breakfast with the meal as usual

I am headed south on the 4th. Not sure I will make Baker or not.

I don't think the free breakfast is a big deal since it is a very limited menu or just a dollar off a regular menu breakfast but it IS supposed to be included in our group rate price.  See you on September 8th.   Smile

The breakfast is OK, but their Prime rib Dinner on the weekends is of the hook.
