Earliest snow I can recall since moving here.

That’s a lot for the first snow of the year no matter what the date! Red Mtn got 17+ inches and it looks like you got about as much.

It’s a month early at least. Red will take it for sure. My snow blower is in the shop for a serios service. I am sure that the moment it is ready, I will have a last ride or two.  

We live in the valley. The confluence of Kootenay and Columbia rivers dictate our weather. It will be an interesting winter, hence new parts on the blower. Forgot how hard it is to shovel wet snow, off a 20 m driveway.

WOW! That was some serious snow, especially for how early it is in the season yet. Believe it or not, we had snow on the ground here on Friday, and had a cold, windy day with almost constant snow until about 3PM. Thankfully the snow was so light nothing actually stuck. Damned weird for this part of the world at this time of the year.

It will come indeed. In the meantime we are getting another warm one tomorrow but this time it will be accompanied by wind and rain.

Snow came a couple weeks early here to.   Just not that much.   I've seen better, ...... I've seen worse.
