What's the problem now?
Do you need a hug? Do you need someone to talk to?

I posted this in the Honda forum. That’s where it belongs. I didn’t want you BMW lovers panties to get in a bunch.
BMW JUNK doesn’t compare to the Honda.

Speed limited to 101. I guess I can understand with all that weight hanging off it...thing is a behemoth! My truck is speed limited to something like 90.
But 101 is on ramp speed sometimes.

Might have to go that fast to keep up with traffic

I really don't understand why the 101 limit. That's not something that is going to be a trend with the big touring bikes, is it?
Last summer we picked up a FJ-09 for my wife and after having it for a month and couple of short weekend trips, we took off on our Summer big ride. This year was up through Colorado, Wyoming, into S Dakota (Black Hills) and then back. On our way back through Wyoming we got behind a line of several trucks running about 80ish. We were running in the mid to upper 80's so we quickly passed them and settled back down to our cruising speed. At the next gas stop she revealed her bike had an issue, but wasn't doing it now. She told me it had started cutting out and wouldn't accelerate any more when passing the trucks. When I explained to her the bike was electronically limited to 115 mph, she was first surprised, then admitted she didn't realize she had gotten it up that fast. Later she said we need to get the mapping redone to "fix" that.
Edit: OK, re=reading the BMW presser, now maybe I'm less confused as I am, maybe, insulted with their "Based on the principle of 'The American Way of Riding'” comment. Do they think we all ride like cruiser guys????
