Being metric here we ride in tripple digits almost every day.  Lol

That being said, I ride at pretty sane speeds.  I get passed by a lot of other sport bikes and some cars.  I pass extremely quickly when I do, but that usually happens when I consider it safer not to be in the current traffic pattern that I'm in.  Someone at work today was saying that their bike was geared to high for some of the rough backroads, but they didn't want to gear it down any or they'd lose their top cruising speed of 180+!  That's a track speed, not a sustained road speed. Headscratch

Also, it's summer, we should be out riding, not reading and posting this drivel.
(oh, yeah, it's dark and I have to work in the morning.  shucks!  But I'll make a point of tripple digit riding on the way to work! Bigsmile)

Ever since I crashed and broke multiple bones I don't ride nearly as hard on the Strom as I used to on the FZ6 I am desperately waiting for next season when I can afford a suitable track bike.

Triple digit sightseeing in reference to miles ridden wouldn't be very impressive.  If it was meant to be miles traveled I would think it would be "Home of quadruple digit Sight Seeing" or something.

But it really refers to both and that option is not available. Triple digit miles at triple digit speeds is probably more appropriate. Although that isn't really possible on some roads.

Same here, on both sides of the pond.

That being said, the higher your average speed, the more uninteresting the roads and scenery usually are. No thanks to that!

Unfortunately, there wouldn't be roads twisty enough to make even packpacking fun.

But why not find out for yourself? Get yourself over to the A22 near Bolzano. Take a run up it...hell...even do it at triple digits of your choice and you'll be yawning in no time. Now take the twisty back road that runs next to it but high up in the mountains. A lot slower, a lot more fun and a lot better scenery, yet you're in exactly the same area. Nuff said!

Or, to put it in Global Rider's terms, if you're breaking the ton consistently, you haven't been on the good stuff.

IMO, "sport-touring" is what we were doing toward, at and from ESTN.
