My daughter and I participated in this years 5 State Run. For those that are not familiar with this. It is an annual poker run that is based in Guymon Oklahoma. You ride through/into 5 states over the course of 300 miles. the general turn out is 700-1000 motorcycles every year. I believe this years total was in the 850 range. The States covered are, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas.

Now, that's a poker run!   Thumbsup

I see posters for poker runs every week.  They are all escorted cluster fucks of 70 to 80 miles, usually bar to bar.

I haven't ridden one in years.

Agreed.  Did ONE....never again.

On the other hand a long distance poker run could be fun.  Especially one set in the Smokies or the Rockies.

Now that is a dedicated run with time and mileage and even more impressive you had almost a thousand bikes involved.  Thumbsup
