So, seems due to noise, and very slow riders (could it possibly be a bunh of road pirates in chaps on a certain  V Twin powered tractor?), Nova Scotia has banned motorcycles from the Cabot Trail:

http://canadamotoguide.com/2019/04/01/motorcyclists-banned-from-the-cabot-trail-after-protests-from-rvers-and-locals/

Now, I can empathize with the people affected by the noise and the slow riders, but to ban all riders is just more proof that governments tend to be terribly incompetent.

It did cause a stink, people were starting a boycott and cancelling summer reservations.  Lol

Sadly -- critical thinking is a lost skill ---  I think we need more pranks --- more reasons for people to learn to be skeptical, think critically, and not jump off the handle.

I've been enjoying the loud pipes on my Buell X1 for a bit over a week now. People do notice! Friday night after work, I got about 500 yards from work, and was just grabbing second when I found a box full of neutrals. I thought I blew a belt, but unfortunately it's something more expensive...the grinding noises sound like a transmission.  Sad
Sportster transmissions apparently don't cope well with 103hp and 90 lbs.ft of torque.  Razz I don't abuse clutches or transmissions, so this is a real surprise. I may have to gut my wonded Ulysses to fix the X1, but I guess for now I have to put another tire on a Guzzi. I will miss the snarl of that V&H can on the Buell, but I still get great music from the Italian bikes too..

My neighbor has one. He hardly ever rides but when he does, you know it.  EEK!
