I started the two bikes. Both were on reserve on purpose. Put 1 1/2 gallons of fresh gas in with some water dryer/cleaner in each. Took the FJR1300 our for 60 miles. Back on reserve and I'm guessing maybe 1/2 gallon left. Tomorrow I'll take out the Bandit in a like manner.
I hadn't ridden either for three months.
Pulled in the clutch but it wouldn't move.
Then I realized it was the front brake!!!!

By the way, this April one of my life long best friends is coming from California to meet me in Las Cruces, NM. Then we will go over to Texas Big Bend country. Neither of us have been there. Then we are going to San Antonio to see the Alamo and River Walk. He's never been there either but I have. After that he wants to go to Oklahoma City and then over to my place in Albuquerque.
While we are in Oklahoma I'm hoping Jay and the other Okies can meet us for lunch!!

Just got back from taking out the Bandit on the same route as yesterday on the FJR.
I still have to fix the FJR. I think I will return it to bone stock and check the valve adjustment while I'm at it. In returning it to stock I will change out the gas tank. I put a big dent in the original one a couple of years ago and bought a new replacement that I have never installed. While doing this change I will check the fuel pump and stuff. When I test ride it after returning it to stock and if it is not "in the game" I will hate to but I will take it to Yamaha.
Maybe they have a diagnostic tool they can plug in to see why it is not on par.
