April 13th to 20th ride

You know what happens to two men when they put their heads together? Yeah, a half wit is created.
My buddy and I are planning a ride during the above mentioned dates. Sunday April 12th is Easter. We can't leave on Sunday. Monday will be the starting day. For him to leave California and for us to visit all the places we've planned ain't gonna work. Oklahoma can't be on the schedule.
It is not set in stone yet, and probably won't be until a month before, but we now are talking about meeting in Phoenix and touring around Arizona and Southern NM.

The southwest should be a good destination for that time of year. And plenty to see!

What’s the road Northeast out of Mesa that goes to Roosevelt lake? That’s a great road. We drove that many years ago.

Yeah, goes through Tortilla Flats.
Me and my buddy were talking this morning about this ride. We will probably go around Arizona. As I always say, doesn't matter where we go it will be great.

Since Blue bailed on me, I went ahead and signed up for a two-day dual-sport ride along the Green Country Oklahoma Adventure Trail. April 18th and 19th, 438 miles with camping on the Illinois River.

Got back from California last Sunday. Visited my friend and his wife on several occasions where we talked about our coming ride.
He squeezed out a couple more days from work so he is strongly considering going to San Antonio and Oklahoma again!!!!!! We will continue planning and watching weather and may very well end up in Oklahoma City. But I won't blame anyone here for saying "I'll believe when I see it".

Obviously, our ride has been cancelled due to Coronavirus. Talked with my buddy today and let him know that in Oklahoma they have 89 cent gas!!!!!!!
He said he looked everywhere and got gas for his truck in California for $2.25. That is something to be amazed at.

Our two-day ride got postponed too. About 150 riders were planning to go. About 20 of them are going anyway. I may hook up with them for a day, depending on the weather.
Gas in the Tulsa area is $1.35. Quik Trip keeps it high and everyone else just matches.
