I wonder who is pushing this idea?  It’s obviously not the motorcycle racing community.  Must be some cash backing this choice.

Back in the late 1960's and 70's, the "Gypsy Tour" passed through Vista, Md., on the way down the east coast during the Labor Day weekend.  There was a half-mile (or so) dirt flat track there which has an interesting story of its own. Highlights of the weekend included the full, and I mean full, dresser drag races on the straight portion of the track near the club house.  What a show!  


I wonder if anybody else on this forum was there.  WBill

Baggers just have never interested me, even as just a street ride. Much less, to race something like that.
