May 25, Monday, I left home at 10:00a and didn't stop until I got to the Ute Mountain Indian Casino and Hotel in Taowoc, CO just North of the New Mexico border. 240 miles 3 1/2 hrs. I met Steve and we went West to Bluff, Ut. and topped off the tanks. We went to Mexican Hat and took pictures of the rock. Got close enough to Monument Valley to get pictures of some plateaus. Then we went up the Moki Dugway and took some more pictures. This part of the country is just so unique and beautiful. I never get tired of it. We then went over to Hwy 95 and dry/wild camped just North of the Northern end of Lake Powell.

Next morning on Tuesday we went to Hanksville and gassed up. Then to Hwy 12. What a great ride so far. If any of you can get to this part of the country you will not be disappointed. Hwy 12 is an incredible run and worth the effort just to travel to there and ride that!! We were on the way to Jacob Lake, AZ to find a place to wild camp again but got stopped at one of the construction stops on the road. The fellow in the truck in front of us got out to talk bikes. Steve complained that his FJR1300 was wobbling at low speeds. We got to looking and discovered his front tire, a Shinko Verge, was suffering a tread separation. After many calls he found a motorcycle shop in Cedar City, UT that had a front tire. So we drove there stayed the night and greeted the folks when they opened up at 9:00a. Good people we were on our way at 10:00a. He took off to Colorado and I took off to New Mexico. Both of us had to be home on Wednesday but neither of us planned to stay Tuesday night in Cedar City!!! I had 555 miles to go! I made it home at 6:30p.

I AM HAVING TROUBLE POSTING MY PICTURES FROM AN SD CARD. I KNOW THE CARD WORKS BECAUSE I VIEWED THE PICTURES. I'LL KEEP TRYING!

I will "monkey" around and try to figure out how to resize the pictures so I can post them. No offense to anyone at all but I just find it so frustrating that I have to figure out how to do this. I thought computers were supposed to be "smart"??????

If you host them on a photo site, you can post them on any forum.

No way this is the only motorcycle forum you visit.
