Went for a ride 10/13

Was talking to a Colorado buddy yesterday and he said he was going to ride to Silverton, Co on the Million Dollar Hwy and would buy me a burger if I met him today. I left this morning at 8:00a to go the 250 miles. Four hours. Great day. I saw it get down to 39 degrees but the farther North I got it warmed up to about 60 degrees in Durango. Not bad. We had a nice lunch with his buddy that he brought along. We bench raced for two hours. Can't beat that. I left and made it back home at 6:15p. 500 mile day!

I'm jealous.
If you lived closer I could show you some great scenery and fantastic roads. And introduce you to some real nice guys.

I'm jealous.
You got the Ozarks just about 100 miles to your East! I'm jealous.

Wait a second.
This post - it makes no sense. You keep mentioning something about "riding" and "motorcycles".
Seriously, contgrats on getting out. It sounds like a nice day!

I started reading your response and as slow as I am I couldn't make out what you were trying for!
One thing I must do is take pictures. WOW The scenery and changing colors were just incredible.

HWY 550, is it worth the boredom, for a couple of mountain curves?
I've always ridden through the Jemez, then up to Chama, Pagosa Springs, then Durango, to get to that Million dollar traffic jam.
It's not as bad on weekdays, or during colder months. I just can't ride them long, straight roads for any length of time...
And you DO need to take more pictures!

I use the long straight roads, that have reasonable scenery, to think things over, figure our problems and just relax. Then, the Million Dollar Hwy I could ride everyday!!!
Yes, I can take more pictures!!!!!!!
