Thanks, am hopeful as they have a kit for the Busa which uses the same adapter setup as the Bandit for one of its lights. It looks like the only real question is if there is room in the fairing.

There is a lot of stuff that is interchangeable between the hayabusa and bandit.

I expect to order the kit tomorrow. Actually spoke to the owner of the company and asked if I could return the opened kit if it did not fit. He said “absolutely!”

I am confident the bulbs will fit the housing as it appears that many bikes use an adapter for an H7 bulb. The question is if there is enough free space for the heatsink/cooling fan.

UPDATE!

 Very pleased with the results.

 I used this kit from Cyclops Adventure Sports; https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/KLR-GEN-2VersysNinjaGoldwing-LED-Headlight-Bulb-Kit_p_100.html

Aside from cutting the rubber covers, the kit is plug and play. The adaptor ring is indexed so you can orient the bulbs as needed. The low beam bulb needs the LEDs at 12 and 6. The beam bulb should have them at 3 and 9.

Low beam is definitely improved; high beam is DAMN!





Pop the adaptor ring and spacer off and install them in the headlight housing.





Take the stock adaptor and connect it to the pig tail of the LED bulb.



The bulbs have a large heatsink so the rubber seal does not fit without major trimming. Given that the bulbs are waterproof and pretty well tucked up in the fairing, I do not believe it will be an issue.

Thankfully, the GEN3 stock headlights are way better then the GEN2 ones were; even with upgrades to the GEN2. The GEN3 headlights were adequate, better with Silverstar bulbs in stalled, but as half of my commute is at O-dark thirty, I wanted even better lighting. Now I have it!
