12/31/20- I called this morning because I knew my new bike would have arrived in the Oklahoma City warehouse yesterday(12/30) evening. I was hoping it would get delivered this weekend.  Sad  Nope. The trailer was packed and it left to go through Albuquerque today. My bike couldn't fit on.    Sad     The nice lady says my bike will be on the trailer for next week.    Sad

You have much more patience than I do. I was on hold on the phone today with the bank. After 5 1/2 minutes, I hung up.

I hear ya. In some ways my friends have told me that I have the patience of Job. In this new bike situation there is really nothing I can do.     Shrug

I do hang up after a few minutes when calling businesses.                           Bigsmile

I have checked my Visa card and the Haul Bikes people have not charged me yet!!             Bigok              I appreciate that they are taking three weeks to get me my bike and won't actually charge me it seems until they unload it at my home. Both of my friends that used them, and recommended them, say it took four to seven weeks for them to get their bikes.

After a wait like this, would you ever use them again?

YES! I don't expect them to pick up my bike and then hit the freeway to my house!

 Lol

If you hire a company knowing that the timeframe can be, um, "extensive", then there's no point in being upset if they are slow. I guess I look at it as a cost/benefit thing: The price was low, justifying a slower delivery. Now if one had paid top dollar for delivery, then I'd expect much better service  Cool

Mrs DD is on the money!!

I am now getting ready to get in the car and hit the road for Las Vegas where my daughter and family are. I couldn't go last Christmas weekend so  we are celebrating this weekend. Yesterday when I phoned to settle times and such she asked me if I was driving the car? I asked what else would I do? She says with you and motorcycles I wanted to talk you out of riding your bike!!! She knows me well!!!

Makes me remember when I got my Guzzi 1200 Sport. It was shipped from Moto International in Seattle. I had never ridden a Guzzi and had never even seen a 1200 Sport in person.

When it was delivered, I fired it up and rode it up and down the street before putting it in the garage. At the time I had 3 bikes, a 1994 DR350, 2001 SV650 and a 2006 CBR600RR. It was so different from anything I had ridden before, I literally thought to myself "What the hell have you done???"

Needless to say we bonded and it is one of my all time favorite bikes to ride. One of the few I wish I still had.

I bet you might have a similar experience with the KTM.
