I have slightly less than 200 miles on it now.
Today I put hand guards on it. I am a firm believer that if heated grips are necessary because of weather then hand guards are a must. They were the ones I've used on two different FJRs and my 1250 Bandit. I use the 1st gen Suzuki Vstrom 1000.
As more miles get piled on I will surely come up with other add ons. An exhaust decat pipe to eliminate the bread box under the motor is on my radar screen. I'm thinking of a larger replacement windshield. It is cold here now but riding it hasn't been too bad.

I had hand guards on a zx10r -- before I got a heated jacket and heated gloves... looked dorky BUT I could ride on those 50 deg days without using winter gloves that took away all feeling.

Years ago I had a couple riders tell me the handguards don't look good on whatever bike I had at the time. I just smiled and said when I'm riding in 30-40 degree weather I don't care how they look!
50 degree days? I can't spell the sound I am making right now about that "mild" weather you protest about!

All the fun of posting about it was gone after he rode it. We'll see what's next...

The VTwin thing just ain't my thing. I've ridden many different types and I thought by all the reviews on the KTM that I've read that this would be OK. Nope. Just ain't my thing. This thing is happy over 3,000 rpms. But ordinary riding is not always over 3,000 rpms. I will never be one of those squid 600cc riders that ride around town at 6,000 + rpms in second gear.
This is a great hyper bike that wants to
Sport
-Tour. That's just fine with me but I don't always
Sport
ride.
