Yeah, the Hayabusa is on my radar screen but kind of on the edge. I checked and LSL makes a handlebar kit so I can put handlebars on it.

Me and a buddy were talking today about the Hayabusa. It wouldn't take much for Kawasaki    to make one heck of a sport touring bike out of one.

Kawasaki would have to get permission from Suzuki 1st though.   Bigsmile

Carl used a Busa to sport tour for a lot of miles.

I rode to lunch today with my buddy, Steve, who bought the KTM. Says the same thing as I. KTM doesn't like anything under 3,500 rpms.    Sad        Headscratch

He rode his FJR1300.    Pictures elsewhere.

Sounds like the fly-wire system needs a re-flash ...  the throttle mapping has probably had several updates since the bike was out -- they may not have been done by the dealership since no one was riding the thing....

When someone said that about a Guzzi Stelvio rented from Agostini's, The tech said "don't ride it there".   Razz

I've read several reviews. I like the looks of this Hayabusa. But for me I would rather get one of the new left over 2019s or 2020s. I can put handlebars on and then farkle it to match what I want and still have $ thousands left over in the bank.

Have you looked at the Connies?

   https://www.kawasaki.com/en-us/motorcycle/concours/supersport-touring/concours14-abs

Of course, you could just buy a new FJR, they come with tons of bells and whistles now.

Sorry to hear the KTM wasn't your cup of tea...

Back in 2008 when Kawasaki brought out the Concours I looked at it but the FJR I had did everything it did and was lighter. Still think that way.

I always though the Busa was too FAT.  Now with all the bikes with absolutely no ass on them I’m really liking the Busa.  Bigsmile
