I’m there in spirit.  Love the area. The Eel River pub!

Keep this going as best we can.

Best wishes all. 😊😌😊

Surprisingly, the forecast looks pretty good. Aside from some fog and drizzle Thursday, should be mostly ok. I will be wandering about in N.Cal looking for roads I haven’t ridden for the next couple of days. Presently in Fort Bragg, nothing new yet. Do we need to reserve space outside at the Eel River Brew Pub?

That’s a good question about the brewery. I’ll call tonight to ask.

Meanwhile, we are headed north.

There were nine of us at dinner at the Eel River Brewery last night.

Good conversation, good beer and good food made for a good time.

It was great to see Knobnose and Andrew- it has been too long since the last time.

I’ve got to figure out how to post pics from my phone.

I hope everyone survived the long trip down 5 from Red Bluff to San Diego. I pretty much wore out my front tire on Saturday and had cords showing on the left side when we got to a construction stop after the top of 36. When the pace wicked way up fear eventually overcame ego and I slowed way down.
Got a new tire Monday morning in Redding at Redding All Terrain Tire. Good price on the tire and $50 labor including taking the wheel off was a deal for me. The owner has a fairly good selection of both street and dirt tires. When he opened he went with the bike shop custom closing Sunday and Monday but found Saturday to be very slow. Closing on Saturday and opening on Monday increased his business.
Nine people was a good turnout by recent standards and the weather was just about perfect with only a bit of drizzle on Saturday morning.

My front tire has a very wedge-shaped profile after all that, even despite the flat spot that 650 miles of I-5 put on it.

I knew this was going to be the end of the road for that set of Continentals, so I was fine as long as they got me home.

It was good seeing you again, KN. I’m glad you were able to attend the resurrection of an old tradition.

Bigok

Good stuff. Restores some of the patina of this site.

Maybe a September gathering?

So great to see you guys pulling together on this! Looking forward to the photos  Inlove  Please feel free to post names with faces, since some I don't know and some I knew but they - ahem - "matured" and look slightly different now  couch  And then there are some of you who never change!

Hello all,

I have not been on the STN website for a  number of years and it looks like I missed the 21 WRCM ride.  I did the first 3 back in the 2008 era and they were great.  Any plans for another west coast get together in 22.  If so I will hope to join in the fun. Smile Thumbsup

Yes, WCRM 2022 will happen.

One of these days I should put a report together for last year's event...

Miles, you remember the New Year's Day ride we took when we saw Jay Leno, I'm sure. That was Elver that came with me on his cruiser. He was the one that taught me how to ride motorcycles when we were 14 or 15. Anyway, he and I take a week or ten-day motorcycle vacation ride every year and this year it is my turn to pick our ride. Do you have a time frame when the WCRM will happen?

Last year we had an hour of mist/sprinkle, but no actual rain.

Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
