Gene and Neda  Bigok

They're still in BC, enjoying the snowy slopes. They just bought a BMW 1200GS, so I expect that they'll be exploring more of Canada once the passes open. At least until the borders open as well  Thumbsup

Everybody is different. I couldn't live that way. I have always thought of my home as my place away from the world. My sanctuary. I love traveling but the last day is always looking forward to going home.

I've never gotten to travel enough to look forward to going home.

I figure 2 months on the road would be close to enough to look forward to coming home  (mostly to my dog.  LOL)
but it would only take a month home to look forward to being on the road again.

I would like the opportunity to find out just how long is "too long" to be on the road  Lol

(but I do agree that I really like knowing that I have some "somewhere to come home to")

I think I can bike-pack about 2 weeks before I get tired, ski about 3 weeks,  kayak or raft for about 4 weeks, RV about 2 months, sail for about 3 months, live overseas for about 2 years?  before I get a hankering to go back home or change the routine

Gene and Neda are just simply amazing...

I agree with many that I couldn't live without a home to come home to. My home is bought and paid for and is my sanctuary too - especially in these troubled times.
I admire those two and loved following their journeys, but I couldn't do that.
I've been on several tours ranging from 1-3 weeks and when they were over it was comforting to know I had a home waiting for me.

I’m guessing there is more to the story than just traveling the world.   What that is I wouldn’t care to guess.
