I went out to the track today to spectate - Bubb's Creek in Bristow, Oklahoma. It's a new track, this was their second race. The owner/promoter is a guy (Jack Brassfield) whom I had befriended his family when he was a kid, racing back in the 80's and 90's. I thought I'd go by and see him again and see his track.

Trampas Parker was there helping out. Trampas was a two-time motocross World Champion - 1989 125cc champ and 1991 250cc champ. The first American to win world championships twice. I talked to him for a few minutes. He's doing some vintage race promoting around this area. He said he was riding here yesterday on an '83 Yamaha MX100. He said he did the 75 foot double his first three laps but it was hurting too much so he backed off. I told him that I had followed him back in the day. He was a good guy.

It's not the fall that hurts, it's when you hit the ground.
