Dot and I got hitched today.  Very small affair: Her, me, the wedding officiant, a duck, a dog and a dog walker.

Steve or Stacey? Geez -- one of them could make it to your wedding, but not to my holiday party! Sad

Seriously folks, congrats! Thrilled for you both -- to a long and happy life together  Beerchug

Congrats to the Dr's D!   Bigok

New house, then a low key marriage - now any interest in buying a new kid?

I have several in stock from various OEM European manufacturers.  Recent model years, low miles, rarely dropped.  Stored indoors and cleaned with a diaper at least daily. One still has a slight fluid leak - discounted price if you act fast.

I didn't ride but I spent the morning pondering my options for a 2 wheeled trip west. Does that count?

I've decided Alaska is out of the picture.  Sad

However, I have a rough plan coming together for my trip out west.

The plan: Pack up the truck with the FZ1 and the KTM 525 and head Colorado Springs, Denver, or Canon City where I have family living and drop off the truck. Take the street bike for a week long loop up into Yellowstone and beyond. Get back to base camp then head to the Moab and surrounding area for a week of Dirt bike riding.

It pains me to think of loading up the bikes in a vehicle to do this trip but the simple truth is it is a much more practical way to enjoy my time out there. I'll get to experience both on and off road delights, have plenty of gear clothing and supplies near at hand, and I can blast out and back across the county in comfort regardless of the weather so that I don't burn up too much precious vacation time or energy just getting there and back.

Time frame is to leave first week of September and catch the northern loop into Wyoming early enough to not catch too much if any snow and hit the southern Moab portion with cool enough temps to make it enjoyable.

I have the first 3 weeks of September already blocked out at work. It will be the first time I've been west since I was 15 (which was a long time ago) and it may be my last (ya never know) so I'm determined to take it all in as best I can. Smile

Sounds like a good plan.  Might be a bit cold at elevation, but you should miss the crowds, and should be open roads.  Thumbsup

OIC. You went with a headlight replacement setup. I assumed that you went with additional driving lights.
