I really like that bike.  I'm not kiddin'.  If that was still in the US that would be the BMW I'd buy.  The riding position suits me much better than the RT, plus it's more fun to ride.  It also has just as much luggage capacity as the RT.

Folks have tried...with all types of non-USA bikes.  The issue is about cooling, primarily.

Intake side sucks in air at high speed, making it really cold.  Exhaust side puts out spent burned gas, making it really hot.  The exhaust side, therefore, has traditionally faced into the wind so as to even out the temps.  You can reverse the heads if you really want, but when it comes to a ram-air effect, it's generally more efficient and cost-effective to just add ducting.

You have now been blessed with my completely unqualified take on the matter.  Bow in abject reverence.   Bigsmile
