I just added hard luggage to my FZ back in the fall. I went for the Kappa side bags which are the givi copies but less cost. I went with the SW Motech rack system.

Indeed.

+2.  FZ1 with triple hardbags like that is hard to beat for a one-tool-in-the-garage kinda bike.  A sport touring, canyon carving, top-end screaming, streetfighting litre sport.  What's not to like?

Thanks guys! I had a 07 FJR1300 which I loved. The FJR was for my wife and I to ride together but she isn't able to ride much anymore so I sold the FJR. I was without a bike for 5 months until this FZ came along. I tried some soft luggage but after being spoiled by the FJR's hard luggage I had to go that route with the FZ. It's nice the aftermarket world made a set up for the FZ that makes it look like it came from the factory with hard bags. Can't wait for spring to come.

Where did you get the peg mounts that connect on the sliders?  I'd luv to have those on my Ninja.

Believe it or not the brackets hanging down from the frame slider is a frame slider bracket from an 08 ZG14 with footpegs attached to them. I was experimenting with them. They didn't work out for me. The position of them just wasn't right. Your welcome to try them. Send me a PM with you mailing address and I'll ship them out to ya.

Could ya send a pic of the brackets first?

From twisted throttles web site.

V35 sidecases are NOT large enough to carry a full-face helmet.

I still wonder if I should have gone for a fully faired Gen2 FZ1 with the triple bag set up instead of the Sprint. I really did like that bike...rose like a pussy cat if you took it easy, but went as fast as you wanted. Maybe was a little to easy to ride fast, but I really liked it.
