It's pretty quiet in the Oz section, so I will post some pics of a ride with mates in Victoria, one of the southern (think temperate) States of Australia. The start in Geelong is only about 50 miles from Melbourne. The map just shows those parts of the ride once we got off the freeway abot 90 miles from Melbourne.
A couple of my mates from my teenage years are into old school Norton Commandos these days. About 30 something years ago when we were all riding then “state of the art” sports bikes (think Ducati GT750, Mach 3 Kawasaki, Honda CB750K etc) we tongue in cheek coined the name "West Coast Procrastinators" to describe our riding group. As Spring unfolds Down Under the “Procrastinators”, plus my regular riding buddy on his ZX9R, took a run to the 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road (Vic) in excellent riding conditions.
Our route was from Geelong to Colac via the Princes Freeway, then through the bush to Gellibrand, Lavers Hill then to the Apostles via the Great Ocean Road.

This pic was taken on an earlier ride but it gives an idea of riding through these back road eucalypt forests

Here is our destination. This is often called the "shipwreck coast"

From there we headed inland along some interesting back roads; Simpson (no fuel available), Kennedy's Creek, and the very pretty run through the bush from Carlisle River back to Colac. The lack of traffic on these back roads is great, though I did have a 'roo stand up in the shade on the side of the road as I approached!
A great day out for some guys who have been enjoying motorcycling together for more than half of our lifetimes!
