Gotta say I love my Autocom.  GPS, music, bike to bike, and intercom work prefect.

I did the Chatterbox. Same story, all the devices. I did add a mixer/amp to even out the various inputs.

Autocomm is better, but considering the difference in price I bought a Motocomm

www.radiogadgets.com/audioboss.html

I was happy with it,, two things that could be better,  the MP3/AUX input has no volume control so it requires the device you plug in to have its own volume control.. And I wish it had a jack to connect bike power instead of running batteries all the time,, but in a 1300 mile trip last summer I only went through 6 batteries.

I have been looking at both of those too and the difference in price is a lot.  Did you end up with the ST-1?  Most of the older comparisons seemed to be with the Audiobass.  I have also heard that the Motocomm is NOT stereo with the MP3. Can you confirm or deny this?

Actually I never noticed or thought about it until you asked, but yes, it is mono through the AUX jack.  I'm actually selling mine, I bought a new bike with a built in stereo and intercom.

My vote is for Autocomm. Lives up to its slogan "any bike any speed"

You don't have to buy new or from the website:

I have the Motocomm...works well...but I used it a couple of times and decided....I didn't want all the input into my helmet, it was ruining my ride...so now I use my really expensive ER6is as ear plugs and listen to "hits" off the radar detector, nothing else..no Xm,no Fm, no weather alerts, no gps voice prompts, no bike to bike comm, no ipod crap...and life is much better Smile I had forgotten I ride to get away from it all....not take it with me!

So I noticed that yours was the Audioboss.  Do you know if the Motocomm are still mono for the aux?  I am still really debating whether to spend the extra money on the Autocomm.

For my money, I'd buy this unit.

http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=IMC%2DMIT%2D100

Wait, wait.  I *DID* buy this unit with my money !!

I think it's the best value.  I've had it up to 90 mph with no problem.

It doesn't  say if the new ST-1 which replaced the audioboss, is stereo or not.. You would have to call..

I hev an Autocom Active-7. It works wondefully for intercom (my Wife and I don't have to yell through full face helmets at each other now) and for XM Radio and GMRS Radio. I don't know about mp3 or GPS audio, as I haven't tried them yet.

Autocom Active 7, ipod, RD, cell, bucket to bucket, about to add frs..... no boosting, mixing, adding ptt functions (will for frs) dicking around of any kind... plug and play, works/sounds best with earplugs, has exceeded all expectations.

Baehr (if you are rich) or Autocom (if you aren't) or Starcom (if you're poor).

Thumbsup +1 re: Starcom.  After some pretty thorough research, I opted for the Advance.  The Baehr was a little rich  Crazy for my blood, the Autocom (a well established name) seemed comparable to the Starcom (a more recent arrival) but cost a little (though not much) more.  They're all well-developed products with many available options, that get highly rated, I just liked Starcom's offering.  Check em' out here: http://www.starcom1.com
