Ok - I tried...I really did.
I rode the road twice; once in each direction.  I just did not see the tag from the road.  I did see tanks that look JUST like the one in the pic - but they were not in any pond.  So I am pretty sure that if I pulled into a certain parking lot, I might have had to walk around to find what I was looking for...But it was a nice night for a ride; so I kept going.
All the fruities were out on their bicycles, and started to piss me off.  I peeled off onto 9 Gates Rd, and headed over to Cossart Rd....Haven't been down there in a couple of years, and after the post here I had some motivation.
That road surface sucks.  Even with the suspension on the ST, it sucks.  That said, I was surprised at the lack of grafitti - the last time I was there it looked like a gay parade was just through there.
A big black Mercedes did roll up on me quick - and I swear that there was no driver in it....Then I saw the tuft of blue hair, and let the old lady pass  Bigsmile

I tried this afternoon too, rode rt.9 from end to end twice.
Visible from the road, huh. Twofinger
I never saw the tag. Lots of bugs and other riders.
It was a nice day for riding, 276 miles round trip for me.

Is that really the best road in DE? Headscratch

Dear God... you took his bait. I would like to apologize for that.

I despise Rt. 9 and some of my... ahem... friends like to use Rt. 9 references to irk me.  Lol

(I crashed on Rt. 9 a couple of years ago on my Harley)  Lol

Thanks for the ghost chase.  Twofinger
It was a nice day for a ride, my longest day this season.

Well if it ain't 9, then I think I know what road it is.
It has the same number in DE and PA I think. Headscratch
WHEN someone tags it please post the location. I won't have time to get back down there anytime soon.

Back to scraping the bugs off.

Yes, the road crosses into PA and maintains the same number. It's Delaware's only twisty road.  Twofinger

The tag isn't right there on the road, but it's visible from the road immediately after one of the very, very few stop signs. The road follows a water way and carries a generic name for a while indicating such.

If no one snags it by the end of the weekend I'll give away the location.

It has caught my eye for years and always thought it would make a cool photo. I feel bad now, considering I thought I had the last one picked out and scoured the roads before I had to enlist some help. I thought this one was an easy one but maybe it just appeals more to my own sense of "pic worthy" and aesthetic than others' Sad

Sorry.

No, I spent a while searching googlemaps looking for the tag site and kept thinking "where the f--k is it" and that lead to thinking of the posted vid.

So many comments come to my mind...But I will just say this - An ST1300 is not an off road vehicle.

To be fair - you needed to drive about 100yds off of the intersection of Yorklyn and 82.  I didn't notice it until after I went through the intersection, and continued north on Creek Mill Rd.

Google Maps is not a help, as it still shows the old structure, which was some kind of oil/chemical storage tank.  Looks like this just resides in the old foundation.
