What about 45 deg v-twins?

Doesn't Harley have some kind of fancy acoustic chamber thing where their engineers spend all their time trying to get the right sound out the pipes? Are you saying that was all a waste of vital R&D money that could have been better spent developing the technology to bring the bikes into the 1950s?   Twofinger

Hd's is because of the timing, it's purposely kind of off. I remember years ago they tried to sue Honda for copying thier "sound" on the Shadow's.

Guzzi pilots drove the team truck, spooned tires, changed gear ratios and still had time to cook home made soup for the team.  Hail

Although the VFR sounds amazing...especially the gear drive cam Viffers (of which I have had one)...I had to go with the air cooled inline 4 as it was the wail of the old Zuki GSs and the Kawi Z-1s that drew me into motorcyling back in the 70s...and it's what keeps me smiling on my B12  Bigsmile
