I rode in to work this morning.  EEK!
10 degrees.  Coldest I've ever been on a bike although it was only 4 miles.

Lol winterize a bike are you Nuts, winter here last 6 maybe 8 weeks at the most...usually less. Fill the tank past overflowing, put the tender on it, put it on stands if you have it and wait for a clear day. Winterize a bike:twofinger:

Matt, I just saw your reply from the last post I made! Thanks for taking the picture. It's also my desktop wallpaper. Great amount of detail with my digi cam.
Did you get my phone message the other day (Tuesday)?

No car.

As long as there's no sleet, and nothing sticking to the ground, I'll ride to work.  I gots Givis though, no milk crate.

I was chopping ice in the alley with a cold chisel in order to hack a path from the garage to the wheel tracks 10 feel away the other night.  Too many near falls the other day.

Upper 20s late tommorrow.  Near 40 on Saturday.  It just might hit 40 on Sunday.

The REAL problem is the condition of side streets here.  Waukesha is still a skating rink!  It got a little better when temps warmed up a bit on Tues/Weds, but not much.  Still huge patches of thick ice and frozen ice-chunkage. Mad2

Plus, I've had to listen to heavy equipment from 1am-4am for the last three nights as they've been trying to clean it up.  The sound of a front-end loader bucket slamming into the ground, followed by the beep, beep, beep as they back up.  I'm averaging 4 hours of sleep a night for these nights.  It's taking it's toll on me.

Don't underestimate the Canadians. They can muster up a fleet of Zambonii at a moments notice, then blitz their way through the invading hoardes...and leave a smooth, glassy surface in their wake.

OH yeah! I got my cold weather riding stuff and as long as it doesn't snow I can ride. I do need to get my thermostat replaced, Rubee is running cold.

The "pro's" are saying high 30's lo 40's and then rain:). Might be nice afterwards, no more salt OR ice, I hope! The only good thing about The Newport Glacier in my alley is I've gotten to see 3 of my lazy neighbors slide into their garage.Lol

I was out on Thursday. Just a thought. Bring the clear visor in case your a little late. Sunset, tinted visor and ice patches, keeps you focused though.
