I haven't winterized my bike yet. My goal is to ride in December and, with luck, January. Beside pulling the battery and storing it in the basement for the latest cold snap (right now 18 degrees in RW), I am still counting on this whole El Nino thing to keep winter mild, and possibly bring some "warmish" days just yet. Are they're any other hopefuls out there?

I ride year round, it just slows down a bit in the winter months. Soon as the roads are clear of snow, I'm back out there.

I will ride more this winter, I don't put the bike up! I just stand at the door (helmet in hand) and wait for decent weather.

The Zed is coming apart for needed maintenance, tuning/tweaking and replacement of body panels.  I found someone to paint RH side panel for $100.  Think I might let him do that.  What the heck.

The little naked 599 gets you cold real quick!   Who knows though...weather permitting. Smile

There's some guy two businesses down from my current office in New Berlin, WI that rides a white KLR.  He rides it almost everyday.  It is farkled with a plastic milk case.  I'm not kidding! I find it humerous.

Some of the most hardcore riders I've met have plastic milk crates on their luggage racks. One of them is xspain. That guy doesn't even own a car.

Hey, I took the milk crate off. Lol

Yeah, no car though, so I guess I am still riding. I did notice no one goes to TwT anymore.

I find the milk crate a funny anachronism.  I'm 44.  I rememer LOTS of bikes had plastic milk crates for "luggage."

As soon as the roads are clear, I'll be back out there.  I've got a new tire to break in after all.  As well as an 18,000 mile service due- and my bike is allergic to the back of pickup trucks.

Maybe at Culver's, but Lulu's is playing Speed TV and old motogp races.

In fact, they are playing Doctor,Tornado, and the Kentucky Kid next Tuesday starting at 8 pm.  Maybe that should be a ride callout?  F the snow.

No riding this morning, but I probably will tomorrow and Sunday if the roads are clear by then.  The connie's windshield is getting cut down to a better length right now anyway.
