...and Biglar scores! Big Tujunga Cyn. rocks.
Been a while since I had breakfast at the Rock Store. Wasn't too crowded today. Dig the twin Aprillias behind my POS.
I stopped by my still untagged second photo location again today since I was in the neighborhood. There are actually 2 picnic tables there. I think I hit just about every good road in the Santa Monicas today. A couple in both directions.

Did you add the paved road miles part later? I could have sworn it was originally simply 100 mile radius.
I can put up another if you feel that one is disqualified due to distance. How's that for a hint?

Since the participation in this thread doesn't really match the Bay Area participation, I hesitate to bring this up, but.....
We almost need a Northern and Southern part to this thread.

Yeah I would be pretty clueless on any pics from your neck of the woods. Haven't been through there since I was a young punk. Most of my riding is north of I-10.

It was always via paved roads, but that's cool, leave it up. So it's within 100 miles as the bird flies ?

Yeah, how about widening the window. Maybe we can get more than three or four people playing. How's this for the new summertime boundries? Anything between Hollister and the Mexico border is fair game. You have to give a manditory hint by telling if it's closest to Hollister, Los Angeles, or San Diego.
Whoever down in the San Diego area to reply first gets a free target post without tagging one of the existing ones, just to get the ball rolling. It's not like this thread is too crowded to handle the traffic

Ok I'll give some more hints.
That pic was actually taken late last fall. The mustard would still be green up there this time of year. The picture is looking downhill. There is a sign at the end of the road not far from the pic location that looks like something you'd see in a campground or on a hiking trail that refers to something you might find on that peak in the background during the winter, and also refers to a large bird. I have been up, and down that road several times since the pic was taken. It rocks both directions. Never seen a LEO up there.

Well, the downhill part is what made me think of C-B, but I guess there would probably be oil machinery somewhere in the photo...
Anyhow, I still don't have a clue.

Ok, I went for a long ride today, and I believe I tagged this one. Only problem is I forgot my camera, so I got a low-res video grab instead. To prove my point of capture is correct I circled a few anomalies in the area that match the original higher-res photo. Left to right, 1.) An angled cross member on the fence line to the left. 2.) A center line paint goof. 3.) A couple of roadside bushes, first one smaller than the second.
This is Cerro Noroeste, maybe a mile or so from 166 and heading south. The hint that this was a downhill shot while technically true, was a bit of a trick hint since for the most part after leaving 166 you'll be mostly heading uphill for 20 miles or so.
P.S. , I shot vid of the whole length of the road from Pine mtn. club to 166, and from 166 to Pine mtn. club. today. Some sort of edited down version will probably be posted in the next few weeks.

*ding-ding-ding-ding*
We have a winner!
See I knew it wasn't that hard.
I got caught in that huge mess on the 5 today on the way to pick up the kid so I decided to take Lockwood/33/150 on the way back.
It just ain't quite as much fun in the F150, but the scenery is better than sitting in 5MPH traffic on the slab.

Good news. I wanted to chase down a few spots I've seen on this thread, but pretty long haul for a day trip.
I'll try for a post today...
