I read the thread title and got to thinking...

I guess the most I've been ridden in a day is four times.  At least, as best as I can recall.  THose are distant memries- I've been married a long time.

Geezzuz, some of these posts are awe inspiring EEK! and I wouldn't dare challenge! Some of you I think are plain nuts! Crazy and the others are effing fantastic stories!! Lol  leave it to STN'ers Bigok

Extra points to the 1978 CX and Ninja 250 trips....... Bigsmile keep 'em coming.  Personally I bonk around 500 -600 miles. I too have ridden in Fire, Flood, Hail, Wind, Snow, Dead birds, Locusts, extremely old ladies in massive cars...........................ahh the memories (to be clear, that is ridden "past" swerving away from old ladies in big cars - not in)

I did 950 today.  About 150 of it was interstate.   I take no pride in trying to go far.  I just wanted to get home.  Not something i'll do again unless I have to and have a much more comfortable seat.

A few plus 1000 mile days on a Sprint ST, mostly because I had to be somewhere but once for a Iron Butt. That run had it all, heat, rain and thunder, a wind storm, dust storm, sleet, hail and snow !! The worst parts are night ( at 54 my eye sight is not what it used to be) and the last 2 or 3 hours, just get physically drained. But for me at least is is always fun, heck any time I am riding, is a great ttime !!!

My longest day was 1100 miles during a SS1K

I've since done a 900 mile day followed by a 700 mile day. It's not really fun, but sure helps with vacation time when you don't have to waste several days getting to the areas with nice riding. I love me some I-10.

I'm impressed with anyone that rides over 400 miles in a day!

I did about 520 miles from Alturas, CA to Twin Falls, ID and I hated the last 300 miles. HWY 84 didn't help.
Strange thing is that it didn't look that far on the map.

Worst day was from Long Beach, CA to Springdale, UT in July 08. Only 420+/- miles but I believe I got heat stroke as my wife described I "was talking gibberish" when I called her from the motel.  Crazy

I'm bored with the HWY's/FWY's but I get drained on more than a couple of hundred miles on something like PCH #1 in CA.

I don't think I've ever exceeded 800 miles/day, and don't really want to.

But I'm an old fart. I much prefer 2-300 miles of twisties over just racking up big miles. Even in my youth (so many eons ago) I was never a big fan of high mileage days.

Maybe if I had a barcolounger (Goldwing, etc...). Nah, not even then.

I embrace my wimpiness.

865 miles in 13 hrs on the R Sport, returning to Seattle from SBK in Salt Lake City this year.  Stopped every 200 miles for gas, plus a couple quick breaks.  I ate a quick mart cheeseburger at a gas stop, plus water at most stops.

Only challenge was numb butt.  I do a lot of positional antics on long rides.

I've had a couple 630 mile rides, but generally don't exceed 400 per day.

450 was my longest day.  But then again I almost never take 4-lane highways.  450 miles of curvy roads takes you from dawn to dusk!!

+1

I've only had one day of riding that included a significant amount of slab and that was followed by a 4 hr visit of the Barbar Motorcycle Museum.  All of my long days have been on curvy back roads and ~ 450 has been my longest.  Which also took me from dawn to dusk.

If the 2011 National will be in South Dakota, I will most likely have my first day of all slab.  So, it will most likely be two years before I break my own record of # of miles in one day.

Solo?  Edmonton to Beaverton, Or.  left after work, in the wee hours hit the "Ironbutt Motel", got there for supper. 1000 plus miles.

2-up?  550 miles in the rain/wind with a bitchy wife.

Funny, the ride to Beaverton seemed shorter. Lol

831 on my new Honda PC800, with most of it on the Natches Trace parkway. I was not prepared for how uncomfortable that I would be on a bike that up to 500 miles or so was very comfortable.

I have custom saddles these days, but am much happier on a 3-400 mile day than I am on anything longer. And this means no interstate riding either. God forbid I turn a wheel on the freeway anymore.

~1070 in ~15 hrs, Watertown NY to Savannah GA. It wasn't a big deal on the slab.
