Well, I've been back and forth through Montana about 8 gazzilion times so I was looking for something different.  Are they pretty strict about the 100kph limit?  I am thinking the run up toward Edmonton may be interesting.  I don't expect much from the roads except a reasonably hard surface with not to much gravel, so I am pretty easy.  I realize it is plains then more plains, but they are plains I haven't seen.  And since they are Canadian I am sure they are friendly and polite.   Bigok  I tend to like to wander through the small towns and such and talk to the locals.  Live a little learn a little.

I guess I will see how I feel when I get to Flaxton.  Bird Runner, if you would PM me a phone number that would be great and the same to Sputnik.  If I decide to stay in the states I would probably enter Canada around Glacier somewhere.

Thanks for the input, as per normal I don't have a clue what I will do, except Friday, or earlier, in Castlegar.  I do have camping gear with me, but I am a reluctant camper.

I will be staying with Noel in Winlaw.  I had to put a plug in my rear tire about a 1000 miles back so I may take the road of fewer miles.  I know a guy in Vernon that does tires and may go there first and get an inside patch.  I'll  check the leakage tomorrow morning and see how it is going.  By the way Minot ND really sucks.  Sorry for any North Dakota folks.  Lol

If I get into your area early I may give you a call so I can be a bad guest for a day with you before becoming a bad guest with Noel.   Bigsmile

If you have been looking at weather patterns you might look at what has been happening in Minnesota and such.  It has been a bit of a weather adventure.

As usual, Noel is always welcome. I enjoy his company greatly.

As per your tire .. if you are stuck with options ... we can take it off here ... I have a gizmo ... and make a fix on the inside. No formal patch, mind . But likely made better in some sort of way.

Iwill check out the Minnesota wx .... ride safe ...

Chris,  the cheapest tires in Western Canada are here in Edmonton.  Perhaps only a few $ more than stateside.  I just got a Pilot Road 2, 180/55 r17  for $195. CDN.  I can pick one up for you if you like,  bus them to Bubba's.

Thanks for the offer, but I can make it home, or to Bubba's, or both.  Actually if I could take the tire off at Bubba's I could put on an inside patch and all would be  well.  I am only loosing a couple of pounds a day, but it never gets better.  The tire only has about 4,000 miles on it and being the cheap guy I am I want at least 6 of the 10K I usually get with this tire plus I have one at home ready to go on.  Sense, I got no sense.  Lol

I will be taking a more southern route so will not be able to avail myself of your hospitality.

I've been on the road for 5 days now (check out my Spot) and I'm just getting ready to cross the border as soon as I log off.  I bought the Destinations Highways BC book and my plan is to hit at least the top 10 before getting to the Bubba Q.  Starting with number 3 today.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

It varies ... but usually after noon.  That gives me time for my prayer sessions, sacrifice and nap. Most folks have learned not to interrupt step 2 of that regimen.  But the smell of Borscht, wafting through the valley, sometimes brings in the crazies a bit early.

I decided to solve my tire problems by heading home and dropping off the Concours.  As soon as I made that decision there has been no air leakage.  Lol

I will be heading North on Thursday.  Since I want to see the Norton thing on Saturday this will give me Friday for the local roads.  Not that 6 to Lunby isn't good.   And I get to come back on it too.  Bigsmile

See you all there.
