As much as I'd like to try Cedar River Smokehouse, I think the 8pm closing is a little early for our crew so I voted Elliot Bay Brewhouse.  Smile

For later in the year we should add Gordon's on the Green at the Foster Golf Links in Tukwila.

No, this is not some hoity toity watercress and cucumber sandwich place, it's great BBQ with microbrews and a big patio for when the weather warms up.

I'm heading out in a few minutes to dinner at the German pub Feierbend.   I figure it'll get me in the mood for Germany trip planning.   I'll check it out for a future STN Seattle area dinner while I'm there, in case we need another future central Seattle location.  It's only a few blocks from Paddy Coyne's.

We thought the place was great with all the German biers on tap, and the smoked glazed  hamhock, I thought, was amazing.

But the place is kind of small, and way too crowded, at least on a Friday.   We managed to split a table after just a couple of minutes wait though.  But Barb kept complaining that the crowed noise made it too loud to hold a conversation.  Smile

OK, I voted, Cedar River Smokehouse, but Blue Moon Burgers, and even Elliot Bay Brewhouse (even though it's no where near Elliot Bay) look fine to me.

The posted hours are till 8. I don't know how they are about getting you out the door on time. Anyone been there know how flexible they might seem toward lingering diners?

Sure!  And it's likely I'll ride a bike since the weather will be about as nice as it gets around here this time of year.

BTW-  I switched the BMW's oil today to full synthetic.  The HP increased by 25%, the transmission shifts like an automatic, and the engine is so quiet you can't even hear it running!

(I just had to try and turn this into an oil thread.  Smile )

The turnout was a little light tonight, but except for the good company, and nice ride to and from, those who didn't make it didn't miss that much.

The barbecue was ok I guess, but consisted of partially warm microwaved leftover ribs and hot links.  The hot links were sourced from outside (she didn't know where) and smoked on premises.  The coleslaw and potato salad were also ok, but I suspect came out of a larger commercial container.

Parking was on the street, but I waited a few minutes and managed to snag a spot right in front when I saw someone leaving.

I'm glad I went though.
