Cablebandit and I just polished off some breakfast and we're about to do that final putter about wondering if we have everything.  Kickstands up NLT 10 AM.  See some of you tonight, more of you tomorrow, and we'll miss those of you who can't make it!

Just another FYI—if anyone needs a room at the Allegheny Inn, I just canceled my reservation.  Smile Sad So there's at least ONE room available!

Have fun ya'll and ride safe. Kill some chicken strips and beer for me!

D@mn, and here I was looking forward to riding with you.

Wait! I already dropped out yesterday.  And I was so looking forward to hitting some of the roads in that area.  But as SodaPop advised me; "A happy wife makes a happy life", and last night she was already happily making dinner plans for Sat evening.  So I can't complain.

Well, maybe next time.  We keep having this conversation.

I shall miss y'all as well.  I've been getting some not too subtle hints from the missus about taking off for the weekend and leaving her with a 17 month old even though I was told it was alright to go originally.

Life would be much simpler if females would say what they want instead of speaking in archaic Venusian code that I'm supposed to mysteriously be able to understand.

Y'all be safe.

After telling the wife that I wasn't going, I got home late last night to find her cleaning my kit in case I changed my mind and wanted to start packing.  You go figure.

Even worse, just got back from a meeting, and there's been some kind of unforeseen glitch.  Now we might not have to work over the weekend.  Standing by...

Posting from the Samuel L. Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton.  Nice place; they've got a big indoor pool & spa that we just got out of.  Redfox and I bugged out from Annapolis about 6, got through DC in an hour and and stopped for breakfast in Manassas.  Afterwards we took back roads (Crest Hill Rd IIRC) south to 211, rode over the mountain unmolested to Luray, crossed 81 and sauntered south to Bridgewater.    Had enough time on our hands to do the ride up Reddish Knob - this time no fog and the view was spectacular.

Going to hit the Mill Street Grill @ 6-ish.  Hope the BBQ beef ribs are on.  Tomorrow we'll FUGAWI down to Sparta - see ya'll then!

Holy Shit Batman, I might be able to make this after all. The instructor for my grad school class just resigned because of work responsibilities. It appears the big presentation I'm on the hook for Sunday is being postponed. I might be able to make this work...

Anyone need a roommate for Saturday night? I would need to get a new front tire spooned on tonight (its in the garage), verify that my weekend is clear from schoolwork, and find a bed to crash in for Saturday night only.

Email fired off to grad school dean regarding this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed.
