My new controversial motorcycle arrived today. I love the looks, but even if I thought it was ugly I'd ride it with a paper bag on my head. The ride is beautiful and the steering brilliant. I have the fairing sides to add to the looks. Getting them painted white with an airbrushed logo.

Nice. You have one of the few 2010s. Hang onto it.
I am loving my 2009. The Helicon is impressive!

I'm having trouble getting used to the refinement.
The handling I love, but I haven't found any quirks yet and my Firebolt has more character. Both bikes are keepers.

I can't wait to see pics with the fairing sides on!

I put my fairing sides on yesterday. I won't get them painted white because they would make the bike look too wide. They also look pretty good in black.
I was missing a screw which I took from the seat. It may be a 2010 thing. The bracket was supposed to reuse a bolt that wasn't there on mine. It was a LH engine boss that had nothing attached.
I've ordered black scoops, I may use them with or instead of the Fairing, and maybe a black mudguard - I can try the original off the Firebolt. I tried a black seat cowl. Doesn't quite work - bit like a Friesian cow. I'll use the tailbag most of the time anyway.

Very nice, I assume when you said a black mudguard, you mean the front fender. I think that would look awesome.

Yeah, the black and white is slightly too much. Would be nice to see the side panels white and see how that looks. Otherwise, it might be time for a custom paint job. =)

I'm just going to stick a black fender on it and get a feel for how I want it to look. The "right" look isn't complerely obvious to me at the moment and it looks pretty sharp like it is.

I'm in the "1125R not so pretty" camp but must say it looks pretty good in white. The graphics on the pods breaks it up a bit.

This is from the front
You can see why it looks better black than it would painted white

I ordered the fairing sides with the bike because I thought I'd need them, but the scoops in white look OK. They are broken up by the shape of the plastic intake as well as the decals. All black they look bigger.
2D & JR, thanks. I sort of figured the colours made it my bike. With or without the fairings I like the look. I prefer the white.

Why didn't Buell sell 'em that way?
Or the Lightning with a Firebolt seat/cowl!

I had to go in for my 1k service (which I think is a ripoff) and they had a Beautiful white Firebolt on the floor next to 5 fully faired 1125Rs. I must say, if I had the money I would buy one but my garage isn't big enough for me and my bikes to sleep in.
