It's hard to rank the beauty of countries, but New Zealand is at the top of my list. Thanks for the photos.

the roads in new zealand are very nice with the exception of some construction spots, but even that wasnt bad.  it is certainly a magnificently beautiful country and should be on everyones list to visit and ride!

I was surprised at how well-kept the roads were when I was there.  Not just the main routes, but virtually every road on either island.  The banking on the turns is brilliant as well, something I've only seen on some of the scenic Umbrian and Tuscan roads.

My personal favorite, though, is this first picture, combing two directional traffic and train tracks on a one lane bridge.  Priceless.

Thanks for sharing.  Bigok I'm planning on taking my lovely wife to NZ for her 50th birthday treat, early 2014. I hope to hire an MX5 and spend two to three weeks travelling one or both islands.

Do it!  You gotta hit both islands.  Are either of you wine fans?  NZ's got some stellar wineries that must be had.  And also, take a day to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.  Best hike I've done anywhere in the world.  Also, the ferry between islands is mad cool.  Damn I miss NZ.

To whet your wandering appetite, here's the Tongariro Alpine Crossing:

A mate and I rode there from Feb. 6 until Feb. 26. The roads are incredible. It's the first time I've worn the sides of the tires completely bald with tread still left in the centre. When we rode through the Catlins we were just going to take it easy. When we hit Invercargill neither of us had any chicken strips left on the tires. If anyone gets a chance to ride there, do it. I won 't post pictures because they are crappy compared to the others  Lol.
