Ah hell I don't care who wins. I just want to ride, but I'll ride the FJR. If I didn't vote before.... then FJR.  Just in case somebody gives a damn

Hey Basco-
Even though I didn't see my newbie vote that didn't count, I still give you KUDOS for having the sack to put this on. I for one enjoyed it, and maybe someday a T-Sprint rider or two can meet me on the central coast of Ca for a nice ride and even swap bikes. I like ALL bikes, I have bmw's, hd's, yammies, cagivas. Most are older iron but I digress - This was really fun, and Thanks dude -  Smile
..and, as result of this fun, I'm alot more active this board too. a win-win?

I'm sure todd can't wait to do the next one. I can tell he misses it.  Rolleyes Lol

I haven't seen so much sh!t go on in this board since the Dungeon days.  Lol

I have to admit that the tournament was a LOT more enjoyable because I wasn't the one that had put so much work into it (and I know that it is some work).

I think you did a fantastic job basco! It was really cool to see a different way of doing this thing!

Thanks for all your efforts!!   Bigok

and also a big congrats to all you FJR peeps!! Your efforts were great!!   Lol  I hope some of you newbies stick around. It would be great to have you all here on ST.N!

FJR wins the March Madness Final Round 60-52.

My apologies to you Basco,  Clap I though sure you would just say the Sprint won, without so much as a mention of the count.  Good of you to post the votes.  Beerchug

However I don't understand why it says at the top of the thread that the Sprint won.

I think I will hang around the board for a while.  You guys are really ok.  Banana Chili

It looks as though some people joined just to vote on this and skew the outcome!
Stop that, you men!  Who would do such a thing?

I think that's because nobody advertised the runoff on a Triumph-specific board.  No worries -- the vote tally accounted for ringers, and the upside is we got ~20 new FJR owners on ST.N.  I had two FJR escorts at the last WCRM ride -- maybe I'll have four next time!  Cool

There are different ways to analyze the results. Without the posting over at the other site I think the Sprint would win but don't matter now.

Couple things I noticed in the last round:
1. There were more votes for the Sprint by non-sprint & non-fjr owners.
2. Looking at the profile of each poster, I found that many FJR owners registered back in November but only posted during the voting. If you took them out, it would be enough to swing the vote.
3. STN March Madness was never mentioned at the more common Sprint - Triumph sites.

I think next time (if I do it), anything goes. Grab who ever you want to vote and do it. Subject to STN board rules of course. That way STN will get new STNers.  Bigsmile

No, I think the lowest post count of the Sprint side was 10. Lowest on the FJR side was 1 and that was to vote.
