I'm in!  Bigok I've been out of the loop while acclimating to my (insanely busy) new job at WVU...but heck, Morgantown is only a couple hours away...that's almost a let-down! LOL (Riding to the meet is usually half the fun!) But I'm sure I can stretch out the ride there.

Looking forward to checking out your routes Garry. I might be able to do a scouting run over there too between now and then.

Now I just have to talk w/Jamie to see if she wants to come (and if so, who'll watch the baby!)

Can we get an updated "who's in" list?  Or should I start a new thread for it?

Start a new list that people can post to. I have failed to update the list in the OP. It'll be easier to just have a thread.

I am hoping to hit the brewpub on night (probably Friday) and one of two mexican places the other night (probably Sat). I've had lunch at the Tampico mexican restaurant several times (pretty much my go-to place in Marietta) but rumor has it the one close to the hotel is quite good too.

Hmm looks like I could make a nice 10 hour 500 mile run off the interstates up for this but I leave that Sunday headed to other way to Georgia Tech for work. 5 days of long hours in the class room and home work in the hotel room at night. Wish I could have made this but have too many things on the damn schedule this year.

I just attempted to book my room at the Microtel Inn.

I called on the phone, and the rate was $78/night.  He said it would be cheaper if I booked on-line.

I tried that, but still get a total of $180.00 for two nights.

Is the "Stay two nights, 20% off" promotion over, or does it show up when I authorize the transaction?

Jimmy

I do. Spare bed is yours if you want it Jimmy. I will be a bit jet-lagged as I'm traveling back from Europe on Thursday and getting on the bike Friday morning.

I keep checkin' to see if the dates get changed.    Unfortunately (or fortunately), I have my divorce hearing on the 16th and the kids for that weekend.

Perhaps next year.

My job has eaten my life this summer (technical lead on two big software projects) and we're trying to get the house ready to sell so that we can move closer to where I work. Bottom Line: I haven't invested much energy into planning/hyping ESTN as I would have liked. Life happens...

So I'm flying to Switzerland on business on Saturday and will be flying home Thursday the 15th. I will get on my KTM 950, jet-lagged or not, early Friday morning and will be taking the long way to Marietta. Seems this will be a smaller ESTN than in recent years. I'd love it to be 50+ people, but hanging and riding with a gaggle(?) of STN'rs is always good fun regardless of numbers. I'm looking forward to it.

I will lead a ride on the Ohio Sampler on Saturday. Hopefully my brain is in gear so that it'll be fun (sporty pace, not hair on fire). I would strongly prefer to keep the group small (6 or less), but we'll see what happens in the parking lot Saturday morning. I haven't ridden my KTM in anger since June, so I'm either going to be slow, or chomping at the bit and pushing it.

Due to work, I'm killing my plan to head to The Snake after ESTN, so it'll just be a 3-day weekend for me. Sigh... Maybe I can take a week and do the Snake and the Dragon and north Georgia in October...

Have a safe/good return flight.

Ohio sampler sounds good since I'll be heading south on Sunday.

And I expect to be sssslllloooowww compared to all the big bikes around.  Never had a problem keeping up with everyone on a 600, but I have no idea how a 250 will do.  Smile

Sounds good as long as BigBird and the 2 bitches get to be one (or three :>) of the 6 Lol
I'm betting on the "chomping at the bit and pushing it" option  Bigsmile

Nothing formal planned AFAIK. For me, it'll be Mexican one night and the brewpub the other.
