Nothing formal planned AFAIK. For me, it'll be Mexican one night and the brewpub the other.

Are the restaurants right next to the hotel?  I don't know Marietta at all.  I'm trying to figure out how early I need to leave central TN that morning and how much I can play in the Daniel Boone Forest.

There is a Mexican place within walking distance.  A Bob Evans right next to it, and some stuff across the street.

Flying home from Switzerland tomorrow. Hope I'm not too jet-lagged on Friday for the ride to ESTN. Hope to be at the hotel by 6pm.

Garry, I'm flexible as far as Friday goes. Just let me know how you're feeling. I'm up for a marathon day of twisties...something inbetween...or just relaxing here most of the day then cruising straight to Marietta in time for dinner.

I was hoping to head out around noon and take my time through hocking hills today, but the power just went out at the office, so I'll have to hang around until that gets sorted out. Still hope to hit Marietta around 5pm.

Thankfully, I have a fully charged iPad with 3G.

Pretty sure I'll be the only one there on an Aprilia Mana...

I managed to stretch a 2 hour 20 minute ride home out to 6.5 hours, and got home about 4pm. Gotta love my wife, she had mowed the lawn for me Thumbsup

Great meeting everyone, and I think you'd be hard pressed to come up with a better set of roads that don't involve mountains...

Well, I'm home.  Pulling the headlight fuse, and one of the tail lights did the trick.

412 miles to my door.  whew!!

My only scare was crossing the border at the Peace Bridge, because a Buffalo Bills game was letting out, but I made it through without much drama.

Special thanks goes out to Shil and Slides, who acted as my wingmen through my charging issues, to SLK50, who offered to change his vacation plans to help me out with my situation, and to the rest of you clowns for drinking beer (or bourbon) while I was working on my bike!!   Lol

Here's a pic I took from my room of the parking lot. Not everyone parked out front, so I didn't get them all.

You got the most important bike (mine - not yours Lol)  Thanks for posting

I enjoyed riding with you Bill & Kevin on Saturday.  I think the only pictures of us on that ride were taken by the guys from the Porsche club.  I guess they were impressed with your Aprilla too.   Thumbsup

Mr. Awsome (Gary) and Dave rode down from Michigan and met me for breakfast Friday morning just outside of Toledo.  We had a nice warmup on 60 down to Zanesville before jumping on 555.  I’m following Dave and in an instant, poof, his rear tire is completely flat. Sad  Luckily it wasn’t in a turn.  I had a CO2 patch kit that only put 12 psi in the plugged tire (two cartridges, the third one went off prematurely).  After stopping at a gas station, we continued to Marietta on 676.  When we got to the parking lot Gary checked his tires only to find a nail in the rear tire. Sad Sad  After removing the nail and plugging the hole, Garry brought over his little electric pump that runs off of the bike battery.  While a bit slow, it filled the tire to 40 psi.  I’m putting one of those on my christmas list this year.

Saturday, Dave went to get his tire repaired while Gary, Tom (kltk1) and I took off on an abbreviated “Ohio Sampler” (thanks Garry for providing a great selection of roads to choose from Thumbsup).  Evenings were filled with good food, good beer, good conversation, and lots of advice on how to fix Honda electrical problems!

My ride back to Toledo Sunday morning was surprisingly enjoyable.  I took 83 North to Millersburg OH, about 150 miles of more gentle twisties on great tarmac with a smattering of one-stop towns along the way.  What a great way to spend a late summer weekend, riding my Duc through SE Ohio with like-minded friends.  Can’t wait till next year! Smile
