Boy I love riding that little bike.  It brings me back to when I first started riding...I forgot that you don't need the latest and greatest bike, with CB's, Intercoms, Radar Detectors and cruise control to enjoy riding.

Nice old Honda there, OSJ!  I feel similarly riding my (wife's) Savage - keeps riding simple.   Thumbsup

Hey Ricewind, how do you like that Savage?

Have been considering one of those for my wife... she needs the low seat to be able to flat foot, and those look like they'd be a great simple bike.

check out the older small Nighthawks too if you might prefer a standard bike style over something more cruisery like the Savage.
My GF has one, it's a blast to ride.

My wife bought this 1995 from a coworker's son for $1000 and it's been a great bike for her to learn on.  She is tall so didn't really need the low seat height, but it's helpful to build confidence.  It's a nice, simple bike for a new rider.  And even for me, I enjoy taking it out for Sunday rides of 1hr or so because it's relaxing.  It's also very lightweight, something like 380lbs, so it's very easy to manage.  Cornering clearance is respectable for a cruiser.  Top speed is not much more than 75mph, literally.  I think it's a good first bike or general run-around bike and would recommend it.

That said, the Savage is murder on my lower back.  I swear I can still feel Sunday's ride here on Thursday.  My fantasy would be to sell it and get something like Chef675's Speed Four.  That's a sweet Triumph.

What's that saying....when life hands you lemons..make lemonade?

Well I made some today!

Saturday we got 12 inches of snow...which isn't something that bothers me, usually.   However getting that much snow on October 30th????  Are you kidding me??
[

My mailbox did okay, but I was rather upset.
http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt109/OSJ/photobucket-13224-1320087001925.jpg

See I'm in the fertilizer business, and business is really good.  However I usually need most of November to get all my work done.  And seeing  the late fall treatment is my most profitable one its really important that I do get it done.  Only once in the last 24 years did snow hurt me, and it was late November snow so it was partly my fault.

12 inches in October is gonna hurt, that is if it doesn't melt!

Mean while it looks like I got a few days to wait out the melting...whats a guy to do?

Ride!

Mrs OSJ got me a little mascot to take with me today.  Off we went, looking for a few tags.

Overall wasn't a bad day!

Looks like tomorrows gonna be nice, don't think the snow will be gone, where should I go?

I called the boss and told him, " I'm having trouble with my eyes today, I can't see coming to work"...

Sorry for the crappy pics, cold made the battery week and lens was fogged. Embarassment
I only stopped twice, once for gas and once to take leave a piss.
My wife visits a therapist for $100.00 an hour, I ride my motorcycle for $15.00 for  five hours. Here's the said part, I get better results!  Bigsmile

A friend and I rode to Lenox today for a late lunch.

Most of the snow has melted, but not all of it.

My wife Debbie and I took our bikes out for a great hooky day ride. Because of the recent storm, we decided to go south toward the Cape. It was a beautiful day and the roads were perfectly clear - no snow!  Smile

Our first stop was the BONE view at the Chickatawbut Overlook in the Blue Hills Reservation. A little hazy this morning, but still nice.

Then we headed of to Cohasset to ride a shore route from Route 228 in Cohasset to Route 6 in Buzzards Bay.

This was a very pretty ride that followed the south shore through Cohasset, Scituate, Marshfield, Duxbury, and Plymouth before finally ending up at the Cape Cod Canal.

Since it is November, a picture of the Mayflower was in order:

And one of the bikes enjoying Plymouth Bay:
