Yes, yes, I know, the 2012 National has just been announced, what the heck am I doing babbling on about 2013????  Rolleyes

I don't know who does all the planning from year to year, if it's passed off from one person or persons to others or not, BUT, I was really hoping to attend an ST.n national at some point, and well, Arkansas is a little far off for me, given work/family/vacation/finance considerations, etc.

I was hoping to launch a tiny seed of thought for the 2013 National, and maybe suggest that we hold it somewhere in/near/around the PNW, perhaps WA, OR, ID??? Or maybe a little bit of each?

Anyhow, that's my 2 cents worth, let the ridiculing begin!  Bigsmile

I'd suggest hitting the Borscht Burn. Good people there and fantastic riding.

Obviously I missed that, thank you. South Dakota would be easiest for me, but I see it won't be for awhile...

I'm going to ask the people that attend this years national where they'd like to have it.  The rotation is stale.  New locales less bitching.

Perhaps, but SD' turn out last year was disappointing.  Sad

I'm sure some of that was the economy, but I agree that SD and CO are too close together to really make it distinctive (unlike AR and WV)

Hip with that, CO is an easy ride from here (nor Cal) Montana works well too.

Steamboat Springs, CO? June 15/16 the weekend following WCRM or June 23/23 two weekends after WCRM?
We should really decide a date, and soon. That might determine location and lodging availability.

Given what fathers usually get, I'd say telling dad to go on a trip on his motorcycle is the perfect gift.  Cool
