I think we've had our rain meet for the season.  Lets plan on a freak snowstorm.

It's rained at each event you've ATTENDED. I'd like to think that the effort you'll put into ORGANIZING the meet will be met with the reward of decent weather. Maybe?!? Shrug

I attended the AMA races at Road Atlanta a couple-three of weeks ago. Forecast was 0 chance of rain a week out, went down hill from there, 30%, 40%, then 70% chance of rain. I went anyway as I refuse to let the weatherman dictate when I ride. As the weekend got close the forecast improved. In the end I experienced NO RAIN.
Of course there was the freak snow on the way home on Sunday with 37 degree temps.  Crazy The snow didn't stick, couldn't stick as the wind was blowing at 40 MPH!

Spent the weekend in SE Ohio (Caldwell) after riding down from Sudbury on Friday.  Saturday was great riding, perhaps the best day in the last 2 years for me. Rain moved in on Sunday and about 30 guys all bolted for home.

WTF.

The only bikes left at the hotel were all owned by Canadians. We rode the West loop through the Honkin' Hocking Hills.

Ya, it was wet. So what! It doesn't matter if you ride home in the rain or ride a route in the rain. Wet is wet!

Rode home yesterday.. another 12hr slab ride. At work today, and I do mean AT. I'm only attending.  Planning on another ride through SE Ohio in July.

Doug,

If I remember right, it only rained in the morning to delay a fabulous trip down 16 for an hour or so. After that it was balls out over the mountains. You can organize a meet anytime!  If everybody brings a rain suit then there will be no chance of rain. My montra is 75 and sunny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=36.505407,-81.120919

Word of Caution... for those of you planning on a long mileage day on Friday, if the fog forecast holds up, plan on a much longer day or have an alternate lower elevation backup.

The fog has been horrible on the the BRP and areas nearby for the past three days.  Visibility was 20-40 feet this past weekend.  Seriously.

Now I'm not sure.. I think being out of work is pretty tough.. I would give up riding in the rain all day to be back at work again..
