Left the motel just after the big downpour (a little after 8:00am) And pulled in the garage at 9:30pm.

Took the direct route home but didn't do any interstates until i was 40 miles from home.

650 miles 13 1/2 hours With gas stops and lunch.

Left at 10pm on Wednesday.  Used the caffeine in the my migraine meds to stay awake.  Got home around noonish on Thursday.  Got the truck returned that afternoon.

It's 5:12 am now.  It appears I decided to lie down for a second while the PC was doing a Java update and the next thing I know it's 4 in the morning on Friday.  Lol

Just got in but didn't really go to the Nationals. Made reservations months ago and then forgot to send in money. Was too embarassed to admit it online.....lmao... so just went and rode and drank beers.

Sobering sight after 450 miles of riding, rider was down and apparently dead just as we made it back to the bridge to cross over from Missouri into Kentucky. Appeared to be what was left of some sort of cruiser but couldn't really tell what as it was mangled. I believe the guy died because as we sat waiting on the traffic cop to let us through they shut down the evac helicopter and covered the guy up and put him in an ambulance, and didn't turn on any lights.

I didn't wait for the rain too stop.  But I still had a pretty good ride to Hays, KS.  Today I made it to Colorado Springs, CO.  Made a minor routing choice by taking CO-94 into town.  Yuck!  70+ miles of pretty much nothing.  I'm going to base out of Avon, CO starting tomorrow until Thursday.  MSTA STAR national!

It was nice to put some faces too screen names.

We arrived home about an hour ago.

After spending an extra day in ES playing tourists with Stromgal we took our time riding home and stopped yesterday when it got good and hot out. Rode the last 200 miles this morning.

It was nice meeting everyone.

Special Thanks to the Rally Masters for a great National!;D;D

Home today a bit after 2pm. Just shy of 6000 miles on this trip; one day off the bike (tourist-ing in ES) and 17 or so on. STN Meet was a great way to finish it off.  Thumbsup

Are you at the Boulder View or the Capitol Reef Inn? (I've got very similar pics from staying in that location... CR Cafe has good food.)

Got back to NC Saturday night around 6:30p after three approx. 380 mile days avoiding the Interstates as much as possible. A Tennessee doucheb. tried to kill Julie by changing lanes without dropping his crackpipe but Julie was able to rocket over to another lane to avoid denting db's truck. He just laughed. Ahh, the wonder of it all.

My plugged rear tire got me home but was losing air at about 10 lbs per eight hours. Time for a more permanent patch repair.

We had a great time riding and meeting more STNers !

Driving home through Tennessee, I saw no less than two trailers blow out tires at speed on the Interstate.  Crazy
