Hello everybody.

Here's my plan.

Arrival on Friday late afternoon.

Ride with the group Saturday.

Start with the group Sunday morning and split during the day to head home.  Where I split depends on where the group will be heading that day.

PM sent to J.-F.

P.S. Jimmy, don't forget a spark plug wrench.   Lol

I am glad to see the rally live on!  I'm craving a ride up that way and may have to keep an eye out for SNOB IV next year.  I don't have enough time to take off this year as I have a big trip planned out west in early Oct.

Doug, it's always a pleasure to have you up... For SNOB IV, the dates are the same: first weekend of August. (1st to 4th next year)

Update on the toll for the new bridge in Valleyfield. (BTW, it doesn't show up on Garmin's City Navigator North America 2013)

Quote
Toll per drive-through

The toll is determined by the number of axles and vehicle class.

Class 1 vehicle    $0.75/axle

I guess you can save the cost of a donut at Jimmy's if you wheelie through...

Technically a bike has no "axle", so give them the finger as you wheelie through!  Lol

(yeah I also hate QC gov't)

Sorry friends, I'm gonna have to bail for this year. Sad

Too many domestic commitments here (for a single guy!). Stuff with my kids so it's all good...

Hope you guys have a great time and ride safe.  Thumbsup

Important: Corbeau's email might be down...

Turns out that my contract with my web hosts terminates on July 31st (probably at 11:59 pm). I have a new one already organized but I slept on the switch and didn't transfer the DNS in time. So I'm letting grandcorbeau.com lapse, hope no one buys it in the meantime and re-registering it again to my name on Aug. 1st. (Really hope I won't get screwed by a bot hogging lapsed domains... that would hurt.)

I'll need to set up my different aliases (jfb, info, SNOB, corbeau... @grandcorbeau.com) probably early Thursday as well.

Should your email message bounce, try patrouilleursutton      over on gmail

Thanks

(I'll delete this post once everything is back to normal...)

I waited for the rain to stop, and still had a reasonable ride across Toronto.
I'm meeting up with Shil in a while, and will see the rest of you tomorrow!

Excellent.

I'll wait 'til tomorrow morning just before I leave to decide the route I'm taking to get to Sutton.  My preferred route was to go through the US to get there but I may have to stay in Canada if I want to stay dryer.

Bought some new rain gear yesterday (REV'IT) which may help scare the rain away.   Bigsmile

Thanks to J-F and Helen for hosting this meet again this year!!!  Judy and I had a great time visiting with everyone in Sutton, Good company, riding, and Helen kept us well fed (as usual).  Even the weather co-operated for the most part. We didn't get rained on til the ride home, luckily it broke south of Franconia Notch. We were able to stop at a family members condo in Woodstock, NH, where I could put my clothes and allegedly water-proof Olympia Phantom  in the dryer to get the second half of the trip home done warm and dry. Hopefully, we'll see you soon.  Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup

After a wonderful time in Sutton, I have arrived in beautiful Saint-Raymond, Quebec.
Thanks to Helen, JF and the family for being such wonderful hosts, and to their young puppy Tucker for helping me with my French.

Tucker, assez!

Thanks to J.-F. and Helen for organizing and hosting yet another meet.   We'll have to go back next year to see if Tucker is a "Bon chien".

Jimmy, did the cops get you yet for stealing that bike?   Lol

Got home @ 1:00PM today after a sleep in Edmundston NB last night where I stopped to see an old friend that I had not seen since 2007 when I went to SNOT II.

Today was a non-stop 430 km ride with the first half in and out of the rain.  Yesterday, the first half of the 600+ kms was also done in and out of the rain.   Crazy

Having said that, it was nice to have a rain free ride Saturday with everybody.   Bigok
