All I know is that when I was 16, I didn't do 1/10th of the things she does!  

The worst thing I ever did was hide a Volkwagen Bus from my parents because they wouldn't let me buy one. So I bought one anyway (with money earned from my J-O-B...what a concept) and kept it at my friends house. 

I've never even smoked a cigarette in my life, so I'm not well equipped to handle a child that lies, cheats, steals, gets picked up by the police at parties, brings pot into my house, etc.  

I'm trying to hang in there....17 months until she turns 18.

 The best way to deal with a kid like that is to take her out to see shining examples of those who did similar things 10-20 years ago, and where they are now. Usually wakes 'em right up.

Done so. Improved things for abut 6 months, then back to "normal". She also loves those "Beyond Scared Straight" shows. Talks about how stupid those kids are...then goes out and does somewhat similar things.  

She has the "it can't happen to me" mentality even more than most teenagers I've seen.

Her birth dad and both of his brothers have all done time for various things (grand theft, sales and distribution, etc.). I've been in the picture since she was 3 years old, but in some ways, I think I'm battling genetics more than anything else.  

Anyway, didn't mean to derail the thread with my parenting challenges.

I'd give her a ride on the back of my bike.  We could do the Lost Coast Loop at Warp Speed 9.   That should either scare her straight or convince her to sell all her worldly posessions drugs to buy a motorbike.

....and suspended again this morning for the rest of the week. And finals are on Thursday and Friday. This is her 4th suspension since September, after 5 suspensions last year. I can't take much more of this.

I'm going to start a new thread in the appropriate forum looking for some advice. I'm at my wits end...

Had a wee chat with Sanjay at the Motel Trinity and he will get back to me with a group rate. He seemed keen and has been having email issues I take it. He did indicate a group rate would be forthcoming... yeah!  

But here is a question. The thread states June 8 and 9 .. That is Sat and Sun in 2013 ... Miles, I am assuming you went off a 12 calendar ? Or is that the preference, Sat and Sun vs Friday and Sat ?

Either works for me as I am quite flexible at this point.

My 2013 calendar says 8-9 are the second weekend of the month.
