Citroen SM, early '70s. Basically a GT version of the DS.
Maserati V6, hydro-pneumatic suspension, directional headlights, speed sensitive steering.

You're good.

Dan and I took a little tour to a German grocery store yesterday. Had to turn around and get this photo. Pretty cool looking setup, even if it was far from being set up  Lol

Found a couple of bike while in Italy  Cool

This rig was pretty well set up. Dan said that he'd like a sidecar - so that he could sleep while I drive!

Hi everyone!

Dan's father is visiting us and since we don't have a car, we had to haul him around somehow  Embarassment  So on to the back of the GS he went!

He's not a small guy  Crazy but he rode well.

Our first destination: the military surplus store!

And this sweet thing was parked out front:

Anyway, we ran a few errands on the motorcycles, including helping out with a honey harvest and picking up some more fresh cherries!

Here's a picture of the father-in-law on the back of my bike

I rode up to northern Germany this weekend to visit some friends. Not much for photos, as I spent it all on the autobahn, but I did see a couple of really nice cars.

At a roadside stop:

And a last-minute attempt to shoot this guy  Bigok

I am glad I was on the motorcycle though, as construction sites often looked like this:  Crazy

Not Switzerland this time, but Thailand and Bhutan.

Thailand:

Scooter taxi (I was really tempted to take one!)

Moving an empty oil drum

Bhutan:

This was the restaurant owner's bike. VERY nicely customized Royal Enfield originally built in the UK. He was very pleased with it - and rightfully so. The straight pipes sounded good  Thumbsup

I have mixed memories of taking a scooter taxi through Bangkok traffic in the dark. Somewhat terrifying until you learn to stop worrying and trust in the chaos Smile

That is a nice original VW. Only a VW could be trailered BEHIND another passenger vehicle and NOT be seen in the side mirrors!

Could be! I just guessed "early 60s" to Dan because I really have no idea what I'm talking about  Bigsmile

Whenever I see this thread, in spite of the fact that I know it's Colleen's cool bikes thread my eyes tell my brain "ooh, Motorcycles of Swaziland" because my brain is not smart.

PS. I have no idea how old that beetle is.

And here most people confuse Switzerland with Sweden  Lol

Dan is eagerly planning for a holiday in 2018 that will come close to what your brain is reading: we're looking at taking a tour through South Africa  Thumbsup
