The US version of the Versys will now get ABS standard for 2014.  It is good to see that Kawasaki has finally made this change in the US market.  I think it better competes now with the Vstrom 650 and the Triumph & BMW models.  

What's more - MSRP is the same as last year's non-ABS model, remaining at $7999.   This is undercutting the Vstrom 650 ABS by $500.  It is also practically the same price as the new Yamaha FZ-09, though that bike is lacking ABS for the US market.

Nice, and they brought back the green.


Yes, I like the green, too.  But it's not all green like before -- it is "candy lime green/ebony" (the tank is black).

Yeah I saw that.  The black tank doesn't look as bad here as it does on some of them.  The Ninja 300 for example in white, looks very out of place.
