I like some of the factory accessory options so far which includes carbon fiber bits and luggage.  As follows would be the first three things I'd add to one.

Aluminum tail cover

Akra exhaust with two different mounting options

Knee pads

It's a great looking bike with some really nice touches. I think it would be a great competitor to the Monster (now that it's turned ugly) and Griso. I imagine that a lot of R owners and potential R buyers will be thinking twice about it.

You know it's just a styling exercise when they put a traditional front end on a boxer...what are the natives saying???  Lol

At least it will most likely have better road feel through the bars.   couch

 Lol

I always really liked the telelever and found that it made rough surfaces really nice. I miss that now that I have the Tuono.

You know Robert is thinking about trading his Monster in for one of these, don't you?

My guess is somewhere between $15,000 and $16,000.

Isn't an R1200R something like $14,000?

I'm really liking the NineT.  I had a R1150R and I can't wait to demo a NineT.  I'm still lusting after a wet head RT.

Really cool looking. Kudos to BMW. But... boxer motors are not known for producing the best engine sound around. Um... yah know sounds like... a sewing machine. I guess aftermarket exhaust would help.  Razz

I can certainly understand why.  I can't wait to test a new wet head.

A boxer motor with a good free-flowing exhaust sounds amazing.   Inlove

Yes, they do sound great!   Bigok

My R1100RSL with a Lazer CF Race pipe straffing the canyons sounded a lot like a WWI Biplane.  I loved it.   Inlove

The product information bulletin BMW sent to the dealers says it will be priced below the R12R Classic.  The cool accessories won't be cheap though.

Damn, that does sound nice.  Waaaaaay better then my stock R1200ST.  For that I'm thinking Staintune headers (unless I can find cheaper ones, but still good quality) and a GPR slip on.

Stopped in at my local BMW dealer last week and found a barely used 2015 R NineT.  I couldn't help myself.  Traded in my F700GS and brought home this black beauty.  The torque and sound is very impressive.  Riding position is perfect.  Despite having ABS, it feels very bare bones and visceral, which I love.
