I see the past few years have been in Montana, So. Dakota & Arkansas?

So is there a pattern to this and were there any in the previous decade?

Where does one go to find the history of the ST.net National?

It rotates between four locations, same week in June every year. Well, at least that's the plan...

I wonder what the plan is for 2014, since we skipped 2013? Still Colorado or does it go back East?

I think 2014 should be Custer, SD, or thereabouts.

From the general info thread...
Location The National is on a 4 year rotating location schedule
2009 - Colorado (it was in Gunnison, but no definitive town is set)
2010 - Eastern USA (floating location)
2011 - Custer, South Dakota
2012 - Eureka, Arkansas
etc...

Doesn't that mean 2014 is Colorado or Eastern USA?

Since the western folks didn't follow through with anything last year , 2014 is in the east, ( hey you had your chance) location TBD.
My picks if given a choice would be somewhere in the smokies, West Virgina or  EEK! the Catskills. Beerchug

Indeed.  If you want something to happen and people to show the east is the place to be.

I'd vote for the Smokies area simply because WV is getting a little stale (if that's possible).  Plus 80-90% of attendees will end up going through WV to get to the Smokies anyway.

If you go far enough west, yes :-) Actually, that area where southeast KY, western VA, and TN meet is polluted with good riding.

So if you can commit a week of vacation plus the adjacent weekends, that gives you three days to get there (Sat/Sun/Mon), three days to be there (Tue/Wed/Thu) and three days to get home (Fri/Sat/Sun). You can hit a lot of great riding areas on the way to/from.

I wouldn't know anything about that. Nope, not at all. (Check my blog.)

OK...shameless plug for my most recent ride reports out of the way  Bigsmile - and yes, I know Day 6 still needs to be written! - I would say Smokies, too.

This man speaks the truth. The riding to, from, and within would be phenomenal!

I can't say that I blame him. A lot of work goes into planning a National and a lot of people aren't happy with what does get planned. Last year someone tried to spearhead it and there wasn't enough interest. We set up the rotation to give everyone a fair shake at getting to one at least every four years, but I guess that isn't enough.

It's a National event for people who proclaim to be sport-tourers. If it needs to be planned around the six people willing to participate, then so be it... Shrug
